eclectus parrot
This parrot is found in new guinea and Indonesia and also in Australia. It is still a common bird in many areas. This parrot feeds on fruit, seeds, nuts, berries, leaf buds, blossoms and nectar all of which are produced mainly on tree tops. The eclectus parrot provides one of the most extreme examples of plumage between sexes. For many years male female were regarded as two different species, unlike most parrots the female is brighter, bright scarlet with blue band across the chest and back, while male is green.
