Plain prinia
These birds were once called wren babblers and were grouped with old world warblers. However prinias are now placed in family of passerines. This bird is a ground feeder that picks insects either close to or on the ground, it also hawks flying insects. The breeding adult has brown grey above colorless tail and pale supercilium. It has a dark bill and its under parts are washed with buff. The non breeding adult has warmer browner tones to its upper parts deeper buff under parts and a longer tail. The juvenile looks like the adult, but has more rufous on its upper parts. It prefers variety of habitats from scrubs to forest edges to edges of cultivation and even over grown gardens. It is spotted alone or in pairs, usually low in vegetation and can tolerate human activity in vicinities.
