White tail lapwing
This slender brown good looking bird has a long dark bill and a black white band along the edge of its folded wing, during breeding season it develops a dark belly. The legs are yellow in color. It has dark eyes while feeding this bird pecks on the edges of shallow and slow flowing waters> It is mostly seen in wetlands. A winter visitor to the country. In India this bird is found in Gujarat and north east. This lapwing is more closer to water then the red wattled lapwing. It is very silent voice is soft chee viz and often seen with mixed flocks.
