changeable hawk eagle

It is recently split from the crested hawk eagle, like the crested hawk eagle it also has a small crest. The female has a brown head with white under parts. The back is also brown. The male is white with grey wings. It also has a small crest. The wings are greyish white in color. It has a shrieking call, mainly seen in forest and wood areas. It is the prominent crest that makes this bird attractive. I had the priviledge to see this bird at kaziranga national park in Assam India. A very handsome looking bird that stands tall with other birds of prey.
