black neck stork

I first got to see this bird at the eastern zone in kaziranga park. It belongs to the family of flamingos, cranes, pelicans and other storks. It is also known as a large pied stork. It is a very beautiful bird with a long bill and red color legs. This bird like the darter when it spreads its wings ia=s a treat to watch. It is also very wary and quick to take a flight. The identification between the male and female is that the male has black eyes while female has yellow eyes. It feeds mostly on fish, reptiles. It is known to capture water birds and bash them to death.
