Goose
Every human being is a nature lover, I am thoroughly convinced of that and it does not take much to fuel this love for nature and wild life. The Chinese goose is an eye catching goose, they have two outstanding qualities the first is relatively large number of eggs, the second is the noise they will make when something out of the ordinary happens in the environment. This makes them useful useful guard dogs that will keep a watchful eye both day and night. Chinese geese are known as Hockerganse in Germany and Oies de chine in France, they are in two color varieties, the first one is called brown or grey and the second one is white. The brown or grey goose is similar to the African goose, both are descendants of the wild swan goose. The white Chinese goose is an extra ordinary bird with pure white plumage, blue eyes and striking orange bill and knob which is larger. The whites are becoming more popular in the Uk and have been winning awards at poultry shows in recent years. A white goose owned by mark rubery, champion gander at the british waterfowl championship show in 2021. Chinese geese are good egg layers they produce 50 eggs in a year, some are known to lay even 80 eggs per year when kept in the right environment. Chinese geese will pair up in winter. They will mate on water, if the pool is shallow and gander is having trouble balancing deeper water can help them succeed. Once the goose start laying eggs remove the first 2-3 eggs as these are infertile but leave the remaining eggs. She will begin to sit once it has laid a clutch of 8-15 eggs.
