The deep sea is almost another world within itself, as the environment is harshly different than conditions we’re used to on the surface. The lack of light and oxygen, the temperature, the pressure, and the terrain all make life in the depths difficult, but not impossible. The lifeforms there are almost otherworldly as well, and only rarely can photographers manage to capture them, usually using robotic submarines.
These mind blowing photographs of deep sea creatures show off some of the life that inhabit the depths of our oceans.
