Today I have a new set of free grunge duotone textures that I created from old wooden panel with peeled paint. I decided to play around with somewhat boring textures of an old blue painted panel. With most of its paint peeled away, the basic elements were there, but not as grunge as I wanted.

Duotone textures are pretty great and really good for backgrounds and overlays. You can always edit them and change the colors to match your design. These five textures are high resolution, so you can even use them to create large prints, posters and album cover artworks.

As always you can download a ZIP file containing all the images free from Dropbox. If you have any requests for future texture packs, please let me know in the comment section. Cheers!

  • Thanks for the wonderful grungy backgrounds. I’ve been collecting some petroglyphs for awhile plus some Klingon designs that I think will be perfect superimposed on these. Imagine a soot-filled cave and maybe a cave bear or two???
