It’s been a while since I last went out texture hunting. I’ve depleted most of my home surroundings over the past few years, so I usually try to photograph as much as I can when traveling. However, there is this one place that I hadn’t checked out yet, a sea facing wall of an old fish factory close by. And o’boy did I hit the jackpot!

This part of the building has really great grunge concrete wall textures that are full of details. The walls also featured some old weathered wood and peeled paint that I will post very soon. I adjusted the textures just a little bit color-wise and sharpened them slightly. These 7 textures below are great for overlays and background elements for your designs and photos.

As usual you can download all the textures via Dropbox for free. Enjoy!

  • Thanks so much for showing the whole building that these wonderful textures came from. As I suspected, the detail shots are often where you seem to be getting the awesome photos that you share with us each week. Thanks for encouraging us to get up close & personal to find the magic in our own surroundings and to not just assume that there’s nothing there in an abandoned place.
