Free Black Lava Textures

If you’ve ever been to Iceland you know the first impression you get when you get out of the airport, “where the heck am I?” And on your drive to the capital, a moon like landscape with vast fields of lava rocks with some of it covered with moss. Looking like aerial photos of Iceland’s lava fields, these free black lava textures might fool you because these are shot my me bending over trying not to include my own feet in the frame or fall flat on my face.

In this Christmas treat of a post, I’m sharing with you a set of 15 high quality textures from a large volcano covering the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland, where the Mid-Atlantic Ridge rises above sea level. Looking much like alien landscapes with black sand and cracks, these textures are perfect for dark backgrounds in your future designs.

We here at Stockvault.net wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thanks for all the uploads and downloads in 2017, and we look forward to receive your photos and share with you new freebies in 2018.
Until next time and remember to enjoy the textures!
