The apocalypse is one of the most popular subjects for film, art, novels, and more. The concept of mass destruction, death and chaos makes for quite a dramatic background for any story.

The apocalypse is usually associated with fire, decay, abandonment, chaos, breakdown of government, mass destruction, death, war and the end of the world. Using a combination of digital painting, photography and 3D art, artists are able to create some stunningly (and even scarily) real visions of the apocalypse.
