If you’re a web designer and you’re not using UI kits, you’re missing out on a huge opportunity to boost productivity, explore new design styles and quickly prototype design concepts. UI kits are quite simple, it’s a set of matching user interface elements such as buttons, fields, text, charts, and other commonly used design elements.
These days, with sites like Dribbble catering specifically to designers, there has been an explosion in the number of UI kits available. Now, just because you use a UI kit doesn’t mean you need to copy the design style from it, as UI kits are simple to modify and tweak for any given project. They can be invaluable time savers however.
