Front Street at Adams, next to Civic Center
What do you do with unsightly air conditioning units outside of your City Hall? Downtown artist Greely Myatt came up with an solution! Myatt created 32 panels constructed from 700 old aluminum street signs to screen the units. The panels are quilt patterns in 4-by-12 foot panels. This project was facilitated by the UrbanArt Commission.Main Dog!

There are three hot dog vendors that you can spot on a walk down Main Street. Main Dog, featured in the webisode, is usually stationed near Civic Center on the corner of Adams and Court Square. Youll find Main Street Hound Dog at the corner of Union and Main. And then every once in a while youll spot a cart near Court Square, hosted by an off-duty fireman who hasnt officially named his cart!Court Square
Main Street between North and South Court Streets
Its nicknamed living room of downtown and is arguably the most historic park in Memphis. Of the four original municipal parks laid out by city planners in 1819, Court Square is the only one left in its original form. Ironically, no courthouse was ever built on Court Square. You can rent Court Square for events the low, very low price of $50. Bryant Park in NYC? $50,000!Waynes Candy Company164 East Carolina Avenue
