Description

Sony's RealShot Manager is at the heart of their IP based security camera system. The IP network camera system assigns each camera a unique IP address to be used across a traditional computer network. The surveillance cameras and software uses DEPA (Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture), which uses equipment built in to the camera to analyze the video stream, thus reducing the load on the network from 2400 kbps for streaming video to 43 kbps.
