Description

Dogs (and in one photo notice cats!) were often seen alongside soldiers of every branch of the Wehrmacht. These dogs were loyal companions, workers, mascots, and friends. These pets received affection and care, unlike dogs involved in the militaries of some other nations. These were good dogs and good men.
