This Bad Hair 80's Pop Rock clip is of a song that I wrote. There is some pretty funny/cheesy stuff in this ! I co-produced the video with my good friend Jack Perno and the other band members. Some rather notable Chicago film people at the time contributed greatly to the clip including John Davies (Wild Chicago)director, Micheal Davis (8mm) and Chip Nussbaum (16mm) lent their artistry on camera. Tony Medici worked on the edit with me. We had some very hot top models, including Megan Hodges, and gorgeous Patricia Holmes. We shot hours of film that was cut, of the band doing some awful vignettes, someday I will transfer them and post, hysterical footage with even worse hair, and premise ....The clip was shot on 16mm and 8mm film over two days at Perno Photography in Chicago and was edited at several different places to be Mastered at WTTW Public television in Suite A. The name of the Band was DV8, but we had to change it to DV9 when were finishing the video because we heard that another band had been signed with the same name, then we found out it wasn't true. The band broke up the night of the Video Release Party at Chicago's "The Bridge" Nightclub,for which I designed the furniture and other things. The soundtrack was recorded at ARS Studio, by the incredible Gary Cobb, in Chicago and produced by myself, there was some mixing done at my friend Butch Viggs' Smart Studios in Madison WI, but I do not recall what I did there for this clip.
