http://www.virginiasmosthaunte... Brown grew up surrounded by echoes of the past in a sprawling rural community called Varina, once home to John rolfe and Pocahontas, just east of Richmond, Virginia. She credits her love of the history and her fascination with its ghosts to her hometown's high concentration of both.Beth began investigating the paranormal in 1989 when a mentor sent her to interview the owners of a 250-year old home tht was practically overflowing with Civil War spirits. Photographs and audio recordings made that day ignited her curiosity about life after death and set the wheels in motion for two decades of research. In April, 2007, Beth Brown founed V.A.S.P.E.R. - The Virginia Society for Paranormal Education and Research - to bring together others with the desire to collect and study data that may eventually prove the existence of ghost. The group, now with over 150 members, has investigated the legendary haunts of Richmond's Monumental Church, Agecroft Hall, Hollywood Cemetery, the State Capitol grounds, Evergreen Cemetery, Belle Isle, cold Harbor National Battlefield, and private homes throughout Virginia. The overwhelming and positive public response to V.A.S.P.E.R. led Beth to offer workshops along the East Coast on how to conduct paranormal investigations, the history of the Spiritualism movement, the secrets of spirit photography, and the ancient mystery of Dowsing.Beth has written feature articles for:. Ghostvillage.com. RichmondGhosts.com. The Ghost Tracker (paranormal newsletter). The Gypsy Chronicle (metaphysical newsletter)She is the author of:. Haunted Battlefields: Virginia's Civil War Ghost
