Description
The photo log of my learning to fly a light aircraft - starting in a Cessna 152; G-BNFS - to the music of the Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' song, 'Learning To Fly'.This is a brief story of my realisation of a long-time ambition to learn to fly. I started at the end of September 2004, flying from Halfpenny Green airport, just outside Wolverhampton, England. The photos represent the early part of my dual training, through my solo cross country journeys to my qualification and subsequent trips out to airfields around the country -- up until June 2008.The airfields featured here are Halfpenny Green (formerly Wolverhampton Business Airport), Gloucestershire, Shobdon, Harwarden and Sleap. The trips are with my family and various friends who have placed their trust in me - thanks to all! This will, I'm sure, be of interest to everybody who appears in the log and who has flown with me and will also, hopefully, be of interest to anyone who either has undertaken or is planning to embark on flying training. The music is obviously fitting and if you have followed this link to listen to Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, then I hope you enjoy this insight into this part of my life as well.I hope you all enjoy!
