Description

http://www.clickherephotograph... In this video we take a few steps back to the basics of photography when we investigate Shutter SpeedShutter Speed refers to a predetermined amount of time that film, or; your digital sensor is exposed to light.I have utilized my Canon EOS 620 film camera to provide you with a practical example of how the shutter works, along with a few simple examples of differing shutter speeds. There are a few important factors to remember when using shutter speeds, perhaps the most important is that the amount of time that your film or digital sensor is exposed to light (by itself) will not always provide you with a correctly exposed photograph in the video that you are about to watchYou need a combination of three (make that four) factors to determine correct exposure. They are:1.The f-stop / aperture used.2.The shutter speed.3.The ISO Rating / setting.4.You will have to watch the video for the fourth factorMoving onIt is important to remember that in this video I am only investigating one aspect of photography, How the Shutter Speed function works. In this video I have used a constant aperture / f-stop to allow you to view what happens to the shutter speed when I change the settings on my camera. The ISO / ASA setting also remained constant as my intention was not to make a correctly exposed photograph, so I ask that you kindly ignore the relevance of the aperture and ISO /ASA settings in this video as they will not necessarily result in a correctly exposed photograph.I hope that you enjoy this video about shutter speed
