Seduction is a concept that means literally “to lead astray”, and in social science, seduction is the process of enticing someone to engage in a behavior that they wouldn’t have made otherwise. Seduction is seen often in history, both with sexual and non-sexual undertones, and is seen in various works ranging from the Bible to Greek mythology.
The concept of seduction has particular appeal in art, and is a frequently used motif in both literary art as well as visual art.
