Hang on to your nuts

Congratulation Bob, the winning image is incredible. So were most of the contest submissions this year, and finally I want to express my gratitude to all the photographers that took part.

I also want to thank the guest judges for their work:
Damien van Holten of reaact.net
Darren Hester of pixelperfectdigital.com
Andreas Climent of andreascliment.com

  7. Yes it is called stockvault. A stock photo can be staged, there’s nothing wrong with that. What exactly is your point?

  8. My point is,,,
staged pics is kind of like, Milli Vanilli,,,
    It’s cheating !

STOCK = AS IS / NOT ALTERED /

  9. If you took the time to read the interview I linked to above, you’d see that Bob does not manipulate his images.

And I would also like to add that a “stock” photo can surely be altered, manipulated, staged and whatnot.

Here’s a link to Wikipedia’s definition of “stock photo”: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_photo

The term “stock photo” has nothing to do with how the images are composed. It’s rather a statement of usability.
