Hello friends! Today I have a new set of six green metal textures that I got from an old rusty shipping container that has been rusting away for a long time. I came upon a few containers when I was driving around near the harbor of my old town looking for something cool to shoot. Old and rusted metal containers like that usually get my attention if I haven’t already photographed them in the past. This one was perfect as you can see in the image at the bottom of this post.

The metal textures are rich in details, rust, scratches and other colors blending in with the vivid green paint. The post-processing was set to minimal this time, I just gave the textures a vintage effect with some grain, and I also boosted the colors and contrast a bit with Lightroom.

Rusted and grungy metal textures like this are really useful as backgrounds and design elements. You can make a lot of cool grunge things with them if you use them to blend with other images or textures in Photoshop or your favorite graphic editing program. I’d love to see what you use them for, and your always welcome to leave a comment with a request for a future set. Enjoy!

I’m posting a photo of the containers just for fun. I still have a lot of cool textures from the white side and the red container!
