I must agree with the “crazy” part, as their work is indeed mind-blowing and the icons are incredibly good looking. Offering over 2000 free icons, you can really say that they know how to please the freebie lovers, like me

How do I use the icons that are downloaded?
It depends. Most of them come as PNG files which can be edited and then saved as .GIF images.
You can use them on your website, for example. Or implement them into your design using Photoshop or any other image editing program.
Can I use them as actual desktop icons?
Yes, I believe you can with most of them. But you will need a theme manager to manage your desktop icons, such as this one. Some of the .png icons might have to be transformed to .ico files for it to work.
