Over the past few months, StockVault has posted a number of free textures and resources, and additionally some examples of when and how to use textures in the various artistic fields. Textures are incredibly important in computer graphics, as the realism of the texture is what makes the environment look realistic. The way the light interacts with the texture, and the way that the texture maps to the model helps create a unique, seamless environment.
