Margaret Hanley has worked as a user experience leader and manager over the last eight years in companies including the Yellow Pages in Australia and Argus Associates in the US. In the UK, she has worked as Information Architecture Team Leader and Executive Producer at the BBC and Head of User Experience at DNA, a division of Avenue A | Razorfish. She is an expert on usability issues and has worked in small and large teams alike.

“The IA Summit is an excellent forum for sharing the experience of consultants and usability experts around the world,” says Hanley. “We’re facing a whole set of issues as the web continues its evolution from a home to brochureware and simple news dissemination services to a virtual world full of rich, interactive applications for consumers and businesses alike. I’m honoured to have been selected to present and look forward to discussing the issues businesses are facing in developing and delivering successful, engaging web applications with my peers.”

About the IA Summit The IA Summit is the premier gathering place for those responsible for the structural design of shared information environments; those who dabble or dive into the art and science of organising and labelling information to support usability and findability; and those interested in the community of practice that brings principles of design and architecture to the digital landscape.

The Summit is a community conference, sponsored & run by ASIS&T and planned by a hard-working group of volunteers from IA and like disciplines. The conference program is heavily influenced by feedback from the previous year’s summit and blind peer reviews of submissions.
