As a premium graphic designing and animation software, Flash boasts of a number of highly usable tools. The Arrow Tool of Flash is a selection tool and it helps a Flash page designer to move an object by simply dragging it with the mouse. The Arrow Tool of Flash is also used to enlarge and shorten an object around the stage. Reshaping of an object is also possible through this tool. Equipped with four modes - Normal Mode, Selected Mode, Corner Mode and Curved Mode, the tool is extremely helpful in any Flash web site design project.
Depending on a user's needs, an object's stroke or fill or both can be selected. The Arrow Tool comes with three options - Snap to Objects, Smooth and Straighten. With the Snap to Objects option, designers can have artwork snap to the grid. Smooth helps to smoothen lines or shapes on the stage. And Straighten is used for straightening lines or simple shapes on the stage. During web site Flash design , selection of a stroke using the Arrow Tool can be done by going to Arrow Tool in Toolbar. The Pointer takes the shape of an arrow and by positioning the arrow on the edge of the shape, you are ready for the action. You can click on any part of the stroke. If you need to select multiple stroke segments, you are required to select one segment first and hold down the shift key and then click other strokes. For selecting connected stroke segments, you have to double-click any part of the stroke to select all connected strokes.
